United States

1 September was the Labor Day holiday, so US markets and much of the regulatory apparatus were closed. Nasdaq files new Premier Annual Listing Fee and Quality Liquidity Provider program for ETPs. SR-NASDAQ-2026-068, published in the Federal Register 1 September, is an immediately-effective rule change adding an optional $44,000 Premier Annual Listing Fee (alongside the existing $4,000 Standard fee) for exchange-traded products; issuers who pay it gain eligibility for the new Quality Liquidity Provider (QLP) program, which pays incentives to registered market makers meeting minimum quoting and performance standards. No other material SEC, CFTC or FINRA items, and no market-structure litigation, in the window. No Federal Reserve communications in the window; the next FOMC meeting is 15–16 September and the fed funds target range stays at 3.50%–3.75%.

Canada

No material items from CSA/OSC, CIRO or TMX in the window. The Bank of Canada's rate announcement is scheduled for tomorrow, 2 September (press release ~09:45 ET, Governor Macklem press conference ~10:30 ET); the policy rate has stood at 2.25% since 15 July.

Latin America

No material items from B3/CVM, BMV/BIVA/CNBV, CMF/CNV or BCRA in the window. No new central-bank decisions: Copom's next meeting is 16 September, and Banxico's most recent cut (to 6.50%) was 6–7 August.
