SEBI
SEBI eases digital KYC on-boarding for NRIs, OCIs and foreign individual clients. A circular drops the requirement that a Person Resident Outside India be physically in India to complete digital KYC, so long as the client is in an FATF-compliant country — intermediaries may now accept digital submission of KYC documents and video-based in-person verification from abroad, with KYC records tagged "validated" and made portable across intermediaries. Binds all SEBI-registered intermediaries, exchanges, clearing corporations and depositories; supersedes the 2023 KYC Master Circular to this extent and takes effect December 3, 2026. Circular
SEBI sets up a working group to review the Innovators Growth Platform framework. The 18-member group, co-chaired by industry and venture-capital representatives alongside NSE and BSE chief regulatory officers, will reassess IGP eligibility, listing and post-listing rules for deep-tech, biotech, semiconductor and other research-intensive start-ups, and benchmark against international growth-platform regimes. Recommendations go back to SEBI; no interim rule change yet. Press release
Exchanges (NSE/BSE)
NSE and BSE's filings stayed routine this window — surveillance-list refreshes (ASM/ST-ASM/ESM/GSM/LT-ASM), new listings, trade-for-trade moves and settlement notices — nothing touching algo trading, colocation, tick sizes, circuit limits or block/bulk deal rules.
RBI, IFSCA & other
No new FEMA/FPI, settlement or payment-system rule-making from RBI as rule-maker this window, and nothing equities-relevant from IFSCA.
Rest of Asia — Developed Markets
Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Australia stayed quiet this window; New Zealand likewise had nothing to report.
Rest of Asia — Emerging Markets
Nothing retrieved from China's regulators this window.
Korea and Taiwan were quiet; so were Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
