At a glance: No S&P 500 names are on today's calendar — a quiet close to the week. We catch up first: Oracle, Adobe and Copart all reported after Thursday's close and are scored below. With the week wrapped, this edition also carries the week-ahead outlook — General Mills opens next week Tuesday, with FedEx and Lennar clustered Wednesday.
Scorecard — reported since we last wrote
Oracle beat on both lines — EPS of $1.92 against a $1.74 consensus, with a slimmer revenue beat — and the stock added another 6.2% after hours, but that beat came against a base that had already stepped down: EPS is still off 9% versus the prior quarter. Adobe's print was cleaner on paper, EPS and revenue both a touch ahead of consensus with EPS up 2.9% sequentially, yet the stock fell 3.6% after the release — a reaction that reads as guidance or mix disappointing rather than the headline beat. Copart is the inverse: EPS missed by 8.5% and fell 18.6% sequentially even as revenue topped consensus, and the stock still rallied 6.6% after hours — the market apparently looking past the bottom-line miss to the volume and pricing trends underneath it.

The week ahead
A light open to next week before a Wednesday cluster. General Mills leads Tuesday against a $0.72 consensus and a 4.4% implied move — the print lands into a stretch where packaged-food category growth has been running below its historical trend, with management leaning on cost-savings initiatives rather than pricing to defend margin, so volume and mix will carry as much weight as the headline number. Wednesday brings FedEx and Lennar back to back. FedEx's setup is about how much of its network-consolidation savings are showing up in the P&L this early against a still-soft freight backdrop, with a contained 3.7% implied move. Lennar is the more binary of the three at a 7.5% implied move: the builder has been leaning on sales incentives to move volume, and the print is a read on whether that incentive load keeps easing or the demand backdrop pushes it back up.
