The Market Wrap.

At a glance: No S&P 500 company reports today, closing out a light week that carried only FedEx and Lennar — both already marked to market in yesterday's edition, so there's nothing new to score this morning. The calendar reloads next week, opening Tuesday with AutoZone and Ferguson Enterprises ahead of a busier Wednesday/Thursday stretch.

Scorecard — reported since we last wrote

Nothing to mark this morning — this week's only two reporters, FedEx and Lennar, were both scored in yesterday's edition.

No results to score from the prior edition.

The week ahead

Next week opens Tuesday with AutoZone and Ferguson Enterprises, both carrying double-digit implied moves. AutoZone's fiscal Q4 print (cons. $54.80, 9.5% implied) lands with the stock having drifted toward its 52-week lows into the report, putting the focus squarely on domestic commercial sales momentum and same-store comps rather than the headline EPS line. Ferguson's implied move is the week's widest at 10.3% against a $2.48 consensus; management has already guided full-year sales growth and margin for the segment, so the print is a read on whether broadly flat end markets in its water-infrastructure and housing-facing categories are holding to that plan. Wednesday brings a calmer pair: Cintas (cons. $1.38, a modest 5.0% implied move) carries a steady beat record into the quarter, while Paychex (cons. $1.35, 7.9% implied) is more exposed to small-business hiring trends feeding its core payroll and HCM revenue. Thursday closes the week with Costco and Darden. Costco's 3.5% implied move is the smallest of the six — consistent with how rarely this stock moves on the print itself — with membership renewal rates and digitally-enabled comp growth the more market-moving lines than the $6.67 EPS consensus. Darden's 8.3% implied move on a $2.07 consensus is pricing more uncertainty, with Olive Garden same-store sales the swing factor and LongHorn Steakhouse the offsetting strength as beef costs ease; the read-through for full-year guidance credibility matters more here than the quarter in isolation.
