Middle East & Africa Reg Desk

Gulf

Little to report from the Gulf regulators this window. The Saudi CMA's latest moves are a corporate merger approval and two still-open disclosure consultations from last week rather than anything new; Tadawul, the DFSA, ADGM's FSRA, the UAE's CMA (formerly the SCA), Qatar's QFMA and Kuwait's CMA stayed quiet, and none of SAMA, CBUAE, QCB or CBK put out a rule.

Israel

Nothing surfaced from the ISA, TASE or the Bank of Israel's Banking Supervision Department this time.

Africa

South Africa's FSCA, the JSE and the SARB produced no new rule this window, nor did Egypt's FRA and CBE, Nigeria's SEC and CBN, Kenya's CMA and CBK, or Morocco's AMMC and Bank Al-Maghrib. Kenya's draft National Payment System Bill remains at the post-consultation stage, still unenacted.
