RBA's 2026 assessment keeps ASX clearing and settlement facilities under heightened supervisory scrutiny. The RBA's annual assessment of ASX's four CS facilities (ASX Clear, ASX Clear Futures, ASX Settlement, Austraclear) against the Financial Stability Standards found they "partly observed" requirements under the Governance, Risk Management Framework, Credit Risk and Operational Risk standards, again citing ASX's governance for not consistently prioritising the facilities' own interests and obligations. The RBA will maintain heightened supervisory scrutiny through the next assessment period and has set explicit expectations for ASX's Transformation Portfolio to fix the governance, capability, culture and risk-management shortfalls.
