Uranium & Nuclear Energy Corner
Thursday, 2026-10-22 · covering the last 24h
Upstream — mining & supply
No material news cleared the bar on the mining and supply side in this window. Checked Cameco, Kazatomprom, Orano, Paladin, Boss Energy, Deep Yellow, Bannerman, NexGen, Denison, Energy Fuels and Uranium Energy Corp's newsrooms, plus the Kazakhstan/Namibia/Niger/Canada/Australia/US supply-policy trackers — nothing both freshly dated to the last 24 hours and not already covered turned up.
Midstream — conversion, enrichment & fuel
Likewise quiet: no fresh conversion, enrichment, HALEU or fuel-fabrication news in this window beyond what prior editions have already covered.
Nuclear energy — reactors, industry & demand
The Nuclear Company unveils "Prosperity One," a proposed 6.6 GW, six-AP1000 campus on Kentucky's Ohio River. Announced October 21, the Lexington-based developer says the Lewis County site — owned by local landowner Sam Howard, who has partnered with the company — could eventually host up to six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors, which it calls the largest nuclear power campus proposed in the US and Kentucky's first commercial nuclear project. Nothing is licensed, financed or approved yet: the company says it will pursue standard NRC review, is targeting a 2028 construction start, and Lewis County has separately begun seeking a "nuclear ready community" designation from the state's nuclear development authority. The Chatter
A quiet window for the commentary circuit: no freshly dated, freely accessible post from the usual uranium fintwit, Substack or analyst voices (Trader Ferg, The Oregon Group, Uranium Insider, Sprott's own insights, FNArena's weekly Uranium Week column) turned up beyond arguments already attributed in recent editions. Nothing new worth attributing on this pass.
