Cameco posts a Q3 loss and narrows 2026 output guidance after a longer Key Lake outage. The quarter ended September 30 brought net earnings of $43m but an adjusted net loss of $2m and adjusted EBITDA of $267m, which Cameco tied to a planned maintenance outage at the Key Lake mill that ran longer than scheduled, cutting production and raising costs, plus lower sales volumes. It narrowed 2026 consolidated production guidance to 19.5–20.5 million lb U3O8 (from 19.5–21.5 million) and raised its average unit-cost-of-sales guidance to US$67.00–$70.00/lb. Its equity stake in Westinghouse also weighed on the print: Cameco's share of Westinghouse's net loss was $24m for the quarter, taking the nine-month figure to an $80m loss against $32m of earnings in the same period of 2025.
