SEC abruptly pulls Friday's "Regulation Crypto" open meeting. The Commission cancelled its August 14 open meeting, which was to vote on proposing a new Securities Act offering regime tailored to crypto-asset investment contracts, citing only an "unforeseen scheduling issue" and giving no rescheduled date. SEC approves updated SRO regulatory-responsibility allocation plan. The Commission approved and declared effective an amendment to the Rule 17d-2 plan allocating oversight responsibilities among NYSE American, the Cboe exchanges, Nasdaq's options venues, FINRA, NYSE Arca and other SROs, adding MEMX and IEX as participants and reflecting Nasdaq BX's rename to Nasdaq Texas.
