ASIC's news centre, ASX's announcements and Market Notices pages, the RBA's media releases, and TMX Australia Exchange (formerly Cboe Australia) were checked and show nothing new since the items already noted in prior editions — ASIC's RG 265/RG 266/RG 241 consultation (CS 63, submissions close 5 Nov) and the RBA's September assessment of the ASX clearing and settlement facilities remain the most recent open items. The ASX Market Notice confirming the Listing Rule 7.2 Exceptions 6 and 7 amendments (shareholder approval for S&P/ASX 300 bidders issuing 25% or more of capital in a takeover or scheme), due to commence 21 October, has still not been issued.

The NZX client-asset handling amendments to the Participant Rules remain on track to take effect Monday, 12 October, approved by the FMA on 10 September.
